Will a GeForce GTX 1060 work for a 1440p 75Hz monitor?

I plan on getting a 1440p 75Hz monitor (see below) and I am wondering if a GeForce GTX 1060 would work for it or if I would need a GeForce GTX 1070 or higher. I am trying to keep my cost down.

A gtx 1060 6gb will work but you probably wont get 75fps on ultra at 1440, you'll have to turn down settings. A 1070 will let you game at higher settings than a 1060, sinply because its the better cpu. :)

If i were you i would stick with the 1060. You wil not get 75 fps in most AAA titles, but if you are into playing Mobas (LoL,Dota Overwatch), or CS:GO, a 1060 would be more than sufficient. However, a 1060 will run the witcher 3 at 50 fps in 1440p on ultra if you have a good processor.
Turning down graphics from ultra to high will make most games playable at 75fps.

I would not recomend spending hundreds of dollars to get games from 60 to 75 fps, and i think you can safely buy that monitor you are looking at.
