He wants an Acer predator 17" Gaming laptop, 17,3 full hd g-sync, core i7 NVidia gtx1070, 16gb ddr4, 256gb ssd, 1tb hdd, g9-793-78cm. I told him to just buy new hardware for this - he right now owns a intel core i7-4710mq cpu @2.50ghz with 16 gb 64 bit operating system with a Toshiba mq01abd100 disk drive, tsstcorp cddvdw sn-208fb.What's the advantage of this new laptop he is looking at, compared to his old one? I built a 600$ amd athalon x4 860k quad core processor 3.70 ghz 8gb of ram 64 bit operating system. What could he build for that price of 1700$?

Okay an over priced gaming laptop. The man gets something in his head and it must be an impulse buy for him today. I must help him and be the voice of reason. Thank you for your input. I see him watching a Blu-ray once for 10 minutes and cruising the internet with it.never gaming I told him I'm stealing it and using it myself(Overwatch/Counter-Strike GO/HOTS. Can you build laptops? Like you could a tower PC?
