Hello i have built a new pc with
CPU - i5 6600k
GPU - EVGA 1070 SC
Motherboard - msi krait gaming 3x

And when im playing my games is at 80% + and i cant find a fix! my pc is 3 weeks old. If anyone could help me i would be sooooo grateful

Solution
Too much thermal paste would result in higher temps but not make the cpu work harder. If things were fine before with the same thermal paste application it shouldn't have anything to do with your experience.

People seem to be having mixed results with bf1 and it tends to be very cpu intensive so expect 100% use with an i5. I'm not sure why the game would be lagging in the menu, have you checked the drive activity via resource monitor to see if other applications are using the hard drive? Maybe a windows update or antivirus scan? Have any bf1 updates installed since you built your pc? Not all updates are improvements, sometimes changes can hurt performance as well.
What games? Are the games playing smoothly? What fps are you getting? If the games are running smooth then I wouldn't worry too much. It won't matter if the cpu is at 40% or 80% use, there's no bonus for using less cpu. What resolution are you playing at? If 1440p or 1080p then chances are the gpu isn't holding your system back at all allowing the cpu to run to its full potential.

My games are playing smoothly. in gta 5 and rust im getting around 100 fps stable on highest settings. but i have problems with battlefield 1. that game is eating my cpu 100% my game is freezing and stuff when im playing it. even the menu in bf1 is freezing and laggy. im playing in 1080p. i have even checked how much my gpu is working when gaming and its on 90%
When i first built my pc battlefield was no problem at all. No game was a problem.

i think i have too much thermal paste on. Can that make soo my cpu is working harder?

I forgot to say that my cpu temp was 25C on idle before and now its idle on 35-37. And i have checked the activity and i saw Antimalware service executable and i cant seem to turn it off. Yes i think there was 2 bf1 updates
people say that you should have thermal paste as big as a pea and i dont have that, i have more
