Hi everyone, im going to change my Apple airport for a routers that has Qos, i started looking for some on the internet and almost none tells if it has this feature. Is it because all of them have it or only the very expensive ones does ?. Examples of the ones im intrested in is the Asus RT-AC1200 or the Tp-Link AC750
Archer C2

Your best bet is to find a router that is on the dd-wrt supported list. The QoS on factory firmware is fairly limited although tplink and asus tend to be the better ones they have more abilities than most on their factory firmware.

The 2 routers you list I do not think have support for third party firmware. The tplink I think is using a incompatible chipset and the asus is their very new extremely cheaply built device. I suspect that particular asus will never be supported they cut the flash memory to almost nothing so no image will fit. Unlike the RT-AC56U which is also a 1200 router but has a huge flash. Asus routers tend to have the most flash and ram so are best for third party images. I hope the rt-ac1200 is not a...
