Ok so I need some help here. Currently this is what I am working with
MSI 990FXA Gaming Motherboard
AMD FX-8370
16GB DDr3
MSI GTX 1070 X
H100i Cooler
1TB HDD
Samsung EVO 250 GB SSD

So basically I just got a new graphics card (had the GTX 960) and I am stuck. It bottlenecks on a few games and I just want the best performance without blowing my wallet up. So i guess what i'm asking is regardless of whether I wait for Ryzen or not, I'm probably still gonna have to buy new MOBO, DDR4 RAM, and Processor.
I know that an AMD processor currently is not ideal but its what I had to start with. I just am stuck and could use some advice, trying not to spend more than 450$ but still get the best out of the new graphics card.
Also another possibility is to just overclock my current processor. Is it worth it? If so how do I do it?
Thanks!

Your best bet at the moment would be to wait for ryzen to come out with full benchmarks and prices so you can make a price/performance comparison between ryzen and kaby lake. In the mean time you can overclock your cpu since you've got a decent motherboard and cpu cooler, you won't have to buy anything additional. You're right, either way kaby or ryzen you're looking at a new cpu, new motherboard, ddr4 ram and a reinstall of windows. I'd suggest saving your money for one of those options.

For overclocking you may want to ask in the overclocking section of the forums. I'm not as familiar with safe voltage ranges and things for amd, others here have more experience overclocking them than I do so hopefully they'll chime in.
