Hello! I wanted to add SSD to my Lenovo g50 laptop. HDD goes to dvd/rom port using caddy and SSD goes to old HDD port. I dont wanna reinstall my OS. Should I clone my HDD to SSD externally first before installing the drive or is it also possible to clone it when both installed?

if your computer can boot from hdd installed in dvd caddy - then boot and use something like EaseUS to clone. when done, just reboot and change the boot to the SSD. then you can wipe/format the HDD.
otherwise (can't boot from hdd in dvd caddy) you can firs put the SSD in dvd caddy clone and then swap the disks.
