Samsung 960 pro on a dell xps 15 9550?

Samung Pro is a M.2 PCIe 3.0 x 4, NVMe 1.2
I looked at the Dell XPS 9550 Laptop and I see no M.2 connector on that motherboard, how did you install it ?

your drive is PCIE and your trying to connect to a SATA connector
I could be wrong but you need an adaptor from SATA/M.2 or a M.2 SATA drive.

Is your OS an OEM or did you buy it separately from the laptop?
Aside from that I don't imagine Dell's BIOS is too fancy. You'll probably need to configure it to read off the USB before the SSD.

There are no compatibility issues. You just need to download current F6FLPY drivers. During the windows installation, it will ask you for drivers, and you can then install your flash drive with the drivers, Windows will detect the needed driver, and you're away and laughing. I just did this last night for the same reasons. I upgraded my SSD to the 512 Samsung 960.
