Hello everyone.

Since my current GPU is apparently nearing its end (Graphic bugs/monitor flickering from time to time/massive system slowdown in irregular intervals) i am thinking of upgrading my current system but am unsure if the new parts will still work out or if i'm building a ticking timebomb.

So I hope you could help me if this will work out. :)

First my current system:

The changes i want to make now would be to upgrade to a Geforce GTX1070 GameRock and
16GB RAM (Haven't decided on a certain brand or item yet though)

My question is:
Would my PSU be able to handle this or do i need to upgrade more parts?

My plan so far would be to just upgrade the GPU so i wouldn't need to worry about that for the next 3-4 years and upgrade the CPU and other parts if necessary next year or overclock my current CPU (which i haven't done so far because i didn't feel it would be needed).

Solution
do you have a water cooler ? is this current PC overclocked (noticing the K cpu)
According to your details right now your power consumption (according to pc part pickers) run anywhere between 71w and 303w at peek
changing your 660 for that 1070 changes power consumption to 73w and 313w peek
adding the 8GB of ram in your upgrade changes it to 82w-322w with the 1070 Card still way under your 530w PSU
you are perfectly fine the upgrade plan.
more over, unless you use 1080p@144Hz monitor, there is no real need to upgrade the CPU in the next couple of years.
Though the GTX 1070 consumes just a bit more power than GTX 660 and you are PROBABLY going to be fine with the current PSU for some time, I'd recommend to upgrade the PSU next (after or better together with the GPU) to some better quality unit.

Thanks for your answer. It's not like PSUs are that expensive i just didn't want to get a new one when the old one would still work fine. :D

No i'm not really a fan of water coolers. I got an Alpenföhn instead which works fine so far. :)

As stated above my current CPU is not overclocked (yet)

Thank you very much! I will keep my current PSU for a while longer then. :)
