Routers and VPN's

Hi,

In my house I currently have 2 routers.

One of them is mine and has my media server and NAS connected to it. This said router is connected into another router (VIA LAN) which is connected into the outside line.

I would like to put a VPN on my router without putting a VPN on the router it's connected to so i'm the only one using my VPN. Is this possible?

I've been here for a while helping others so I feel like it's my turn. :bounce:

Solution
The router must support vpn in the first place and there is client vpn and server vpn and even if it supports vpn not all support client mode. You may have to make changes to the main router if you want to run server mode vpn.

I suspect you will have to hook your router up using the WAN port to accomplish this which can cause you other issues.
