I have made a list ↑↑↑ of what my build may look like but I want to know if it is better to separate the "Gaming" drive(black) from the normal drive(blue) and having a SSD just for OS and other essential core programs.

The Black drive will contain games and game related content while the Blue contains documents while the 750 EVO is the OS drive?

Caviar Black or Black? if so.
Should I go through with it? or can the Black do what I planed for blue? I want to keep the SSD for the essential core programs and OS.

Solution
In my opinion 250GB are more than enough for your programs and OS. So if you decide to skip on the 500GB model you could take into account a backup for the difference. It could be an external drive, another internal drive, cloud solution, you name it. But it's a pretty good idea to keep a backup of valuable information, which is not downloadable (such as videos, photos, documents, projects, etc).

Cheers!
Hey there, Agent_Blackwing.

This sounds like a nice setup. Basically its up to personal preference if you'd like to have 2x1TB drives for different things or a single 2TB drive for everything. The WD Black drive will be more than capable of dealing with everything if you decide to drop the WD Blue HDD and go with a 2TB WD Black hdd. The WD Black drive 2TB+ models also have an additional feature (unavailable for the lower capacity models): StableTrac Technology
The WD Black drive is equipped with StableTrac Technology (2TB and larger models) by securing the motor shaft inside to increase reliability and help reduce impact due to system-induced vibrations from other components. By stabilizing the platters inside, the WD Black drive results in more accurate tracking in a particular sector during read and write operations, optimizing performance and reliability.

You can check out both drives here: WD Black Drive & WD Blue Drive

Please let me know if you have any questions.

I actually just went for the 2TB drive after posting and I Thank you.

It looks like it's going to be a pretty solid system. The SSD + HDD setup is currently the best option in terms of performance, storage capacity and budget.
Don't forget to have the HDD disconnected from the motherboard during the OS installation process in order to avoid future booting issues. :)

If I can pull it of funds wise, I can get the 850 500GB SSD but if not the 250GB will do fine for those programs

Here are the two "Finial" storage options I have,
