UEFI on MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) motherboard?

How to find if MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) has UEFI (it's 4 1/2 yrs old?

Own HP Pavilion p7-1240 desktop with this motherboard, Bios is AMI 7.07 v1, 04/20/2012.

Looks like your system was from the transition from Windows 7 to Windows 8 era.

BIOS Rev. 7.07 is non-UEFI.

From http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03656066 that appears to be for the Windows 8 version of the system

"The Jasmine motherboard uses an AMI BIOS version 8 that is compatible with UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)."

Some Jasmine motherboard owners have updated their 7.07 BIOS to 8.18 Rev. A and reported that their graphics card that requires a UEFI motherboard BIOS actually worked.

Thanks ko888. That is what I was hoping for. Only "issue" I'm having is (non-alcoholic, non-drug) cirrhosis of my liver has moved from Advanced Stage to, at last count, 11 cancer tumors rapidly spreading all thru liver. Just stated treatment for try to knock out the cluster. This will be ongoing every six weeks or until I go belly-up. probably 1- 3 months left.

Sorry to be a downer, don't mean I don't appreciate your info. I really do, but not sure if it's worth it at this stage. Wife loved her laptop and rarely uses my desktop

Thanks to everyone on this site. Wished I could have more advantage of. It's been very informative. See on the other side.
