Error when trying to open Dark Souls prepare to die edition

This came up after i fixed most of the dll issues after installing darksouls prepare to die edition not much help on the the internets regarding this specific error . I reinstalled DirectX runtime and did a chkdsk. .

Thats a games for windows live game, they are all now essentially bricked because microsoft abandoned the platform. There are ways around it, I would give this article I linked below a read.
