Looking at building my own PC soon and need to know if my build will work. I will purchase the graphics card separately from all the other components.

I would say no as AMD is releasing the Zen processor this coming year and should shake up the processor world.

That being said, your core components are approx. $565US, you can do a lot better going over to Intel.

Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case
EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
Intel Core i3-6100 3.7GHz
MSI H110M Gaming Micro ATX
Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB
GeForce GTX 1060 3GB Video Card
Kingston V300 120GB SSD
WD 1TB HDD

It will work but a very poor choice of parts.
Whats your budget???
