Best CPU For LGA 775 Socket

I need the best gaming Quad Core processor that will fit in this socket. My motherboard is Dell Inc. 0200DY (I have a dell optiplex 780) the gpu is a gtx 750 ti and my processor I have right now is the core 2 duo e8400 3.0Ghz.

Since it is a Dell motherboard, there may be a limited set of CPUs that are supported in the BIOS. It also depends on which case you have. See this post -- http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/desktop/f/3514/t/19988328

I don't find a definitive list of CPUs anywhere obvious.

Q9650 works in those, also some LGA775 Xeons work X3363 tested must be 1333fsb and under 95W so X3370 should work.. Determine if you actually need quad cores or if 2 cores are faster for what you actually do. there are faster 2 cores like E8600 3.33Ghz.
