Hey guys. New to the custom pc scene, but I was interested in building my own. I was looking to get some help on what parts I should get that will benefit editing and gaming, but not be over the top. Any tips would help thanks!

read review sites (here, Anandtech, etc) to get a feel on which manufacturers are good quality and more importantly, which ones aren't. Don't trust customer reviews...read the pros!

what will make a good or bad system will depends heavily on your budget.
