Does 3440x1440 add more peripheral vision than 2560x1080

I've been chatting with a friend and he was suggesting that I use the Nvidia panel SSR thing to upscale the resolution, but on my 2560x1080 21:9 monitor I upscaled it to around 3550x1350ish and did not notice any extra peripheral vision in games like when I went from 1920x1080 to 2560x1080.

My question is, would 3440x1440 add extra peripheral vision like my 2560x1080 monitor did when I switched from a 1920x1080 one? I tested Counter Strike Source and Killing Floor 2, which both support native 2560x1080 and 3440x1440 I know for a fact.

I'm being a bit paranoid here since I'm heavily interested in a 3440x1440 100hz monitor...but since it's still 21:9 does it add any additional peripheral vision in games?

Yea, I always modify FOV since I'm a fov nut (who doesn't have room for three 1080p monitors on his desk for that super fov). I assumed 3440x1440 having an extra 900 horizontal pixels vs 2560x1080 meant even more peripheral vision, but since they're the same aspect ratio of 21:9 maybe you're right.

But then again, for 5760x1080 (triple 1080p setup), is the aspect ratio still 16:9, or does the super extra fov just come from having separate monitors?

I might still settle for that $1230 Asus rog pg348q 1440p ultrawide because I love my ultrawide and it'd fit nicely on my desk, plus the 100hz is vastly superior to 60hz from what I've heard. Although I know 144hz is better for gaming, I don't think any ultrawide 1440p 144hz ones exist.

Holy F- that's one long aspect ratio then. Hmmm...so if I were to get said Asus ROG pg348q, it'd offer the same fov in games as my current 2560x1080. But the curved screen and increased vertical space would definitely help with multitasking (like when I'm doing a paper and have 10 windows open) - ahhh but that $1230 pricetag is a few months away of reach.

Perhaps you could answer this, what about the possibility of triple 1440p monitors that are 2560x1440? Do there exist setups with triple 144hz "1440p" (not ultrawide) monitors for a total res of 7680x1440? Or maybe 3440x1440 would be simpler to go with and have games run at...
