Will i7 870 bottleneck a GTX 1080?

I'm currently looking to upgrade my GT 520 2GB to the new GTX 1080 gpu...but I have a rather old cpu, an i7 870. Will my cpu bottleneck the 1080?

Build:

cpu: i7 870
power supply: corsair tx 650 v2
motherboard: asrock p55 pro
10GB of RAM
XFX GT 520 2GB
windows 7 64-bit
resolution 1800p

That is rather an overkill indeed. For an intel i7 870 you might want to scale it back with a gtx 670 or less or an AMD equivalent. Not to mention the gtx 1080ti is just around the corner so either way save the money from the gtx 1080 purchase. Good luck!
