So I bought a new GTX 1060 6Gig model, and I did all the normal steps for installing a new GPU *this isn't the first one I've installed*
Uninstalled my previous drivers *gtx 960 drivers in safe mode using DDU*, and then installed the GPU. I accidentally forgot to plug in the PCI-E 6 pin connector (silly me), and the PC showed an alert sign to plug it in before booting again. I did, and nothing booted. At all. No led or fans spinning. Nothing. Eventually I breadboarded the system, and everything was working. inserted my old GPU and it's working fine. What's the issue? Can anyone help?
Specs gtx 960 2GB
i5 4460
Asrock H810 mini atx mobo
XFX 550W 80+ Bronze PSU
Windows 8.1 on HDD.

Solution
Try reinstalling your GTX 960 or running off integrated graphics and flash the BIOS of your computer. Your BIOS may need to be upgraded to work with a GTX 1060

I did man. It says it in the post lol. As for bios, I did try to clear cmos, which ended up actually clearing but pc still didn't boot with the 1060 installed. I'm trying to see if a friend has a PC they can use to see if its just DOA.

Clear cmos? did you remove the watch battery? People have bricked their mobo by doing that. I agree about removing the card and booting through the integrated graphic to get to the bios. You might want to do a full disassembly and reassembly too.

Sorry, I misread your post. I thought you said to insert my old gpu to see if it runs (my post saying that I already did that and it works). As for flashing bios, I'm not too positive on how to do that. Im looking up info on that now.

I'm on my old gpu on the PC right now. I'm actually trying to flash/update my bios (again, not positive on how to do it.)

It should be in your manual and there are often instructions on ASRocks website. There is typically a Windows flashing utility to do it within windows, and a bios file (usually something.bin) that you can put on a flash drive, than boot into your bios using the Del or F2 and and flashing it there.
