Weak cpu or power supply for gtx 1060 3gb?

Hello guy, first of all sorry for my bad english.
I bought a gtx 1060 3gb gpu and i have a problem with it. If i try running games at very high settings my pc crashing, the monitor turn off and the sound freezes, but if i lower the game setting everything work well.
So i dont know maybe my GPU or power supply too weak for this card? I have a phenom IIx4 965 and a unbranded 600w power supply. For example a turned the rendering scale in WOW 100% to 200% and my pc crashed.

Phenom IIs use a lot of power and the combination of high load while gaming and an unbranded, ie cheap, PSU would explain this problem. On the plus side, it sounds like you can game on this setup, you just can't do things like set a high render scale. Is the ability to do things like that worth the cost of a new power supply? Only you can answer that.
