I will contradict @Herc08 and I will say "Maybe". If your motherboard has four memory slots, it may only support 2GB DIMMs. (4 slots x 2GB == 8GB max). It may not have enough address lines going to the DIMM slots to support 4GB DIMMs. So don't be surprised if it doesn't work.

You could google to see if anyone else has successfully done it, but I don't know of another way. My strong belief is that it won't work. IF 4GB DIMMs were supported, the manufacturer would list the memory limit as 16GB IMO.
