My PC sort of freezes when I leave it idle. I cannot let the PC sit by itself without it freezing. If there is anything active it will not freeze but as soon as I quit moving the mouse, the thing freezes never immediately but usually about less than a minute. It's quite frustrating that I cannot leave it. Could someone assist me? I'll give you all the information I know. Thank you :)

See if disabling power savings features stops the hitching and freezing. The easiest way I know of is to go into bios and disable all the usual goodies (C-states, EIST, ASPM, etc.), or you can do it directly by digging within the power management tab and setting the processor power usage range from 5%-100% to 100%-100%. Both do the same thing. And while you're at it, you could dig around find uncheck every box marked "Allow Windows to turn this device off to save power."

Or you could have a one in a million faulty HX850i.

Last time a computer did this to me, I just shrugged my shoulders, completely yanked out the power supply, and plugged it all back in. Magically solved the issue. YMMV.
