Adding new boot drive to build. How do I clear my current SSD boot drive to be a secondary drive?

So I am awaiting a 960 evo 500gb to put my new build together. When it gets here and I make the new build, how do I wipe my current boot drive ( a Crucial SSD) so that I can simply use it as a secondary drive instead? As far as I know it only has the os and whatever other automatic gpu driver updates and whatnot on it. I have no games or photos or anything on it. I have two old hard drives as backup currently where photos and games are stored.

Thanks.

Simply use Disk Management's "Delete Volume" option for deleting every partition on the secondary drive. You can then re:partition & format the empty drive to your heart's content.

With diskpart, be absolutely sure you are talking to the correct drive. It is a command line function, and its easy to be addressing the wrong drive, and erase it.
