I don't know why but i'm having trouble configuring a new router in my single family home. I purchased a new ASUS N300 router RT-N12 wireless router to replace my old DLINK DIR-615. I have an HP Pavilion PC, an Iphone 6s and a couple Vizio smart TVs running in the house. I had no issue installing the old dlink and getting connectivity to my devices but when I tried to install the ASUS (which according to them only takes 30 seconds I could not even log into the wifi from my home. Honestly maybe I still find WIN 10 kinda confusing at times but is there is good website or tutorial to learn about routers, networks, etc. I honestly have idea how I even managed to to set up my old DLink router years ago... help!

Solution
Is the password on your router longer than 6 characters?

If not it should be also make sure it's in wpa2-psk mode for the password.

If that doesn't work try entering the SSID and PASSWORD manually.

ok i think i've got everything hooked up properly but i can't log into the network thru my mobile because it keeps saying the password is not correct? is the password the same for logging into the network through my phone as the admin name and password through the router admin website?

OK maybe i'm not conveying the problem here. When i try to access the home network from my Iphone it asks for a 8 character minimum password to log in. So logging in from my phone NOT my pc... ok?
