FPS drop even with good laptop specs

16gb ram
GTX 750M

While playing CS GO i start with around 60-70fps and drops to 30fps midgame which makes it rally unplayable. i did a quick HDD test which said failure of read element. could that be the reason for the lag? is it time for a SSD?

There is a big chance that your HDD is dying, which could lead to your problem. Download Crystal Disk and check your HDD health.

Hi there,

it could be many reasons !
It might aswell be that you have many more internet-users in your neighbourhood slowing down your own connection ! Have you tried any moment of the day ?

also check if your PC has updates to download ! If a virus is working in the background !
( www.freedrweb.com is a very good scanner for malware and other junk).
