Here is my config:

CPU: Intel I5 6600 Quadcore 3.2 GHz

RAM: 8Gb HyperX DDR4 2133 Hz

GPU: Radeon R9 390 Sapphire Tri-X Nitro 8Gb DDR5

SO: Windows 10

I'm not only unable to play Ultra, but sometimes i'm getting lag spikes in all of the settings, rarely even on low! It seems obvious that there's a bottleneck in my config, I'm asking you, is this a Ram problem (I just need to add another 8Gb) Or do I have to change my CPU?

Solution
No it doesn't in general. Its actually not bad on CPUs in general, uses threads well. Yes, to keep up on 64MP maps I need to be at 4.3ghz or more on the 6600k or I will hit 100% and cause some frame drops, but never below 60fps.

In fact, I sit at 80fps 99.9% of the time even on the biggest maps. That is at ultra, 120% resultion, TAA and I don't have an i7.

People just think stock i5's (3.5ghz) will do fine....and they won't. But that is becoming more the norm now with newer games .

I actually never tracked CPU clock speed while playing it, should I test it with some software? If the clock speed stutter, do you suggest me to unpark my cores?

P.S What resolution scale are you using while running the game?

battlefield 1 has poor optimization for cpu's. Some people with the newest I7's struggle big time. Other people have no issues at all. Dice needs to fix this. I don't no about you all, but for me putting the settings on ultra or low does make zero diffrence. Just be patient hopefully they fix it soon!
