Frame rate warning

Hello, I keep getting frame rate warnings when I play BF4. I just upgraded to a 6700k cpu and 32gb ram and msi mb and still frame rate warning. I put in a XFX 8 gb card a few months ago when I had a 2500k system but took it out after getting frame rate warnings. Now I am wondering if a new card would work better or is there some adjustment I need to make? I have the settings on 'auto' now when I play BF4. Any suggestions.

6700k cpu
32gb ram
msi z170m mb
evga 1300w psu
XFX gpu 4gb

I would be more inclined to say that the warning message is in fact a C setting saying the Gpu is reaching 98c or more.

Unless you had some sort of frame rate targeting software or option enabled.

It could be that due to a small system case being used and very little room for the card to breath, and a lack of system fans drawing cold air into the system case.

Patches, if you have a tower based system, take the side panel off the system case.
See if you get any Warning messages then.

If you don`t then I would conclude it is a warning message for how hot the GPU chip on the graphics card is reaching.

That doesn't make sense, your frame rate was actually 98 fps and then it locked up? Or was it maxing at 98 then dropping then giving you a warning.

Its possible the frame rate warning is the result of some other system problem causing the game to slow up.

Battlefield 4 has a Frame Rate Warning you can get if your frame rate gets too low while playing online.

I think thats what hes talking about, however the whole situation doesn't make sense.
