I'm not experienced with building a PC myself and so far I am sticking to buying a Already-Build Gaming PC.
My current setup consists of this:
CPU: AMD FX-4100 Quad core, 3600 MHz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series 2 GB
RAM: 8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme3 (CPUSocket)
Cooler: Stock cooler
As you can see, This setup is pretty outdated. I am not planning to spend a whole bunch and after some googeling I found this PC build:
PC Sharkoon GAME RX470-4GB Sixcore CrossFireX RED
-CPU: AMD Six-core FX-6300 3.5Ghz
Dual Layer DVD/CD burner 24x RAM
-GPU: MSi AMD-Radeon RX-470-4GB HDMI DVI DP Tripple screen
-PSU: silent, <1W 12cm LC600 80+ bronze certified
-HDD: Sata3 1000Gb (1Tb) 32Mb 7200Rpm harddisk
-RAM: Micron 8Gb-1600MHz DDR3 (expendable to 64GB)
-Motherboard: Asrock AM3+ 970M-pro3 CrossfireX ATX with:
4x USB3.0, 6x USB 2.0 (2x USB3, front with audio (Headphone & Mic) front.
This all for 600 euro's
My question is: I know this is already a more significant upgrade, but is there a possibility someone can tell me how significant the perfomance boost would be?
For example:
1 game i still play frequently is Battlefield 3: I play on a mix match of High-medium settings. Also some things turned off (Shadows, FXAA, Ambient occlusion ETC). My resolution is 1920x1080
On a crowded 64-player server I get:
Max: 85 FPS
Average: 45 - 70/75 fps (normally 45-65 fps when a lot of this are happening)
Minimal: 40 FPS. Can dip to 30 FPS most cases
Can I, for example, use this PC to play BF3 on all high/maybe even ultra with consistant good FPS? And also, how would this perform with games like fallout 4 for example? (I play fallout 4 on medium - low around 25 - 50 FPS). Is it possible to play Medium graphics on Witcher 3? and so on.
