hello all I have the phobia dc12-220 pump it used to be pretty silent I had the mayhems pastel blue fluid in my pc it worked just fine I loved it then I redid my tubes and I didn't have enough fluid left so I only used distilled water which I was told was good to use so I filled it up and turned the pump on and this thing is so loud no I don't see any bubbles in the tubes I used a tad bit of dawn to eliminate the bubbles its been running for 1 week now and its still so loud what could have happened?
I never let the pump run with fluid in it and the noise came suddenly not gradual over time please some one help

It seems like the problem is air getting into the pump from the reservoir. I see your reservoir is placed sideways, and the water level is pretty low. Try filling it up more and then, while the pump is off, move it around so that any air currently inside the pump comes out (from what I see, leaning your computer towards the back should make the air go out). But when you shake it, the bubbles are because the water level goes under the intake in the reservoir so the pump gets more air in it.

Generally, pumps make noise when there's something moving with the impeller, causing an imbalance. This could be air, or a hair or something that got stuck in there.
I have a small water pump, which I don't use for cooling, but when it sucks air in and gets re-primed, sometimes it keeps making the noise, because even a small air bubble can emulsify and change the speed greatly, until you turn it off and let it settle. Do you use tubes or hoses?
If you use hoses, try turning of the pump and rotating it in every direction to get out any possible air that's inside the impeller housing.
If they're solid tubes, while the pump is off, try rotating the computer to see if any bubbles come out.
