Hello good people of tom's hardware,

i'm pretty close to doing my first ever build from scrap, i have (with a little help from this very board) upgraded a PC before but i'm by no means experienced.

the build i want to do is one for my brother, who is currently gaming on a 6 year old system which is in desperate need of an upgrade, the budget is not that enormous though, we can not possibly afford anything more than 700 bucks (that is euros, at least for now) and the list i have put together for now consists of:

Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
MSI H81M-E34 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Fury Red 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 3GB 3GB Mini Video Card
Rosewill 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
Zalman ZM-T4 MicroATX Mini Tower Case

so since i'm pretty new to this my three main questions are :

1.: am i going to run into any compatibility or other issues with these parts ?

2.: am i missing any parts ?

3.: are there any significant improvements i can make in terms of getting more for my money ?

i want to thank you people in advance for the great help you seem to provide to everyone who comes here.

It would work, but is already dated. No need to do a new build with prior gen parts when it really doesn't save on the budget.

MB + CPU + MEM - Not sure what country you are in, but would suggest the newer Skylake CPUs with a B150 or H170 chipset board (with four memory slots) and DDR4. Something like the setup below.
SSD - If you can find a way to add an SSD you would be in really good shape. Crucial MX300, Sandisk x400, or the Samsung EVO lineup.
GPU - For a PSU look toward XFX, Seasonic or the EVGA G2 lineup (www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html).

For an SSD I would suggest you check out prices on the Crucial MX300, Sandisk X400, SK Hynik, or Samsung EVO. 120GB is pretty small and would fill up quickly. Best to just go with a larger drive up front..
