I am a competitive gamer and I live in a two story house. My router and other networking hardware is stationed in the office on the first floor, while I am on the second floor. The office does not belong to me and my setup is upstairs. My USB network adapter I feel is causing severe lag in games and is very annoying in general. I am really fed up with the huge amounts of packet loss and severe lag whilst playing games. It really effects my performance in game so I am ready to buy a cheap, effective networking solution to put in my current room (where my setup is) so I can use ethernet. How would I go about doing this and what is the cheapest route I can take to establish a better connection?
