Hello, first time installing a bare hard drive on my own just want to make sure I have everything needed before ordering..

my power supply is a EVGA 500 B1 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438012

my motherboard is a GA-B85M-DS3H-A http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5346#sp It has 4 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors (SATA3 0/1/2/3)
2 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors (SATA2 4/5)

I know I'll need to get a bracket and screws for it but not sure on what types of cords or if I need an adapter for that cord. Any help is appreciative. Thanks!

You need to use the SATA 6 GB/S connectors if you have them, they're faster.
If not, SATA 3 GB/S works just fine too (using that with one of my current config because outdated mobo)

That is a non-modular PSU. It should have SATA power cables on it. You'll find a matching one, if not, show me the cables you have when it arrives.

Your case might already have brackets and screws, but I'm sure you know the answer to that.

Good luck.
