Power supplies are quite standardized. They will all be compatible with any ATX, mATX, or ITX motherboard.
There are sizes, or form factors. The most common by far is ATX, but there are SFS and others. While the size may differ - the connections do not.
The biggest factor in determining what PSU you need is your power demands. A 300W would not be a good choice for a gaming rig, but nor would a 1000W.
