I'm just wondering if 2 gtx 960s would out preform a gtx 1060. I'm thinking of either to upgrade to a gtx 1060 or just to get another gtx 960. Of course if I get another gtx 960 I'll upgrade my power supply. Also how bad or good will be the sli scaling in most games? I heard in some games it really sucks. And is there a sli bridge you would suggest?

Here are my specs:
I7 6700k 4.0 GHz
16 GB DDR4
Z170-E Motherboard
1 TB SSHD
2 TB HHD
GTX 960 4gb
EVGA 500 watt 80 PLUS Bronze certified

I would never recommend SLI/Crossfire, due to micro stuttering and lack of game support for multi card setups. I've run SLI and didn't like it. Half of the games out there aren't made to properly use SLI and then you are stuck running just a single card during gaming, kind of a waste of money. Always go with the most powerful single card that you can afford. Go with the 1060 and sell or repurpose the 960.

In addition to the comment above and your current rig,
I'd not recommend SLI because of your PSU, as it's only 500W and not a really good one. Have you OCd your 6700k?
For those purpose i'd get at least 600W or more.

So, as said, the 1060 3GB even tho it's VRAM is inferior, it shall perform much better in comparison with those 960.
