right now i am building a pc with an i7 6700k with no GPU(going to get in the future) i am hoping to take advantage of the iGPU. I have an asus vg248qe monitor(144hz). Do i need to get a hdmi cable and can i get 144hz with my motherboard output? also which output can display 144hz?

is it only display port which can out put 144hz? and also for the time being do i need to buy a hdmi 2.0 cable?
