No screen output, CPU fan not spinning, not booting up

I was playing Far Cry 4 when my computer shut down but not completely; No audio/video output but the PSU was still providing power to the case fan, the GPU fans, all drives, and the motherboard itself. There's this little box on the motherboard that reads "Audio Boost" and it has a red LED that turns on. Based on that, I can tell that motherboard is getting power. All the case lights are also on except for the light behind the power button. What does it mean when the power button's light is off?

On the other hand, the motherboard is not powering the CPU fan. I have five fan power connectors on my motherboard and I have tried all of them with no luck. I have also tried three different fans all with the same result. I am getting no beeps from the motherboard.

Now when I try and start the computer again, the same thing happens as when it first shut down. The weird thing is while playing with components and trying to get it to boot up, I have managed to occasionally get to actually start normally and boot up. In each case, I have continued using it for a while then I decided to try something more resource-heavy like a game and then it suddenly shut down again with the same symptoms.

In the space of three days, I have managed to get it to boot up (no idea how?) three times and each time, playing a game has taken it down again. Unfortunately, after the third time, it doesn't seem to boot up anymore.

I'm worried that either the motherboard or the CPU is damaged somehow, but no idea how to make sure that is the case. Neither are cheap so I have to be sure.

This build is only a year and a half years old. Here's the spec for the main components:

Intel Core i7 i7-4790K CPU (Quad Core 4GHz, Socket H3 LGA-1150)
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel LGA1150 Z97 ATX Motherboard
HyperX FURY Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz CL10 DIMM Memory Module Kit - Red
MSI NVIDIA GTX 970 Gaming Twin Frozr HDMI DVI-I DP Graphics Card (4GB, PCI Express, DDR5, 256 Bit)
Corsair CX750 Builder Series CX 750W ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze PSU

Any help or advice is appreciated!

Update: Thank you for your answers. In the end, it turned out to be the 24-pin power connector to the motherboard. It was slightly loose. However, I'm not sure why it was sometimes turning on and then suddenly shutting down like that. Quite strange. At least, I've got my computer working again.

you should have a led on the board that is lit when she receive power did you check all power connector from psu to board also remove gpu and use the internal to play some game and let see what happens .
