Recently I purchased a new computer and I'm happy with it for the most part except for the fact that many of the games that I attempt to play keep crashing after about five minutes of game time. There are also instances where the computer runs quite slow, but I think I have that problem solved.

Games that crash include but not limited to:
Ark: Survival evolved
DayZ
The Culling
No Man's Sky (surprise)
Stranded Deep

Rig Specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6600K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.5GHz
OS: Windows 10 Home 64-bit
Memory: 8 Gigs of RAM
MOBO: MSI Z170A GAMING M5 (MS-7977)
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB

Sorry if I left some info out, let me know if I did. I'm pretty new to the custom PC business..

Any help or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

What do you mean by crashing.

The game crashes or your computer turns off, I'm guessing just crashes.

This could be due to drivers, temperatures, CPU usage, RAM.

What are the CPU/GPU temperatures while in game, and what percentage usage are they at?

What do you mean by run slow, altogether? Slow boot, slow software loading times? If so, that could be to do with your hard drive, could you download and install CrystalDiskInfo (Both versions would be preferrable) and tell me the results, that includes the health of the drive etc. A screenshot uploaded to imgur would fit nicely.

By crashing I mean the games just close and it cant be drivers because I made sure they are all up to date, I'll download the software you mentioned and load it up. As for temperatures I'll check on them. Lastly, when I say it is running slow I mean that some applications are loading up very slowly.

Loading very slow means a few things:

Lack of RAM/High Usage of RAM.
High CPU usage
Slow HDD (Maybe starting to fail, unfortunately - I doubt it)

Also, have you made sure your HDD is connected via one of the SATA III ports (6Gbps) rather than Sata II (3 Gbps).

CPU usage in game is about 68% while temperatures stay steady around 35C
