I am trying to overclock my I2500k CPU to around 4.5ghz. I have good water cooling and all that. I just opdated the Bios to version F9 (i have the Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 motherboard).
But i ran into problems. When i want to oc i use the multiplier and i can ez get it to x40 and then it also shows x40 in CPU-Z but when i try to go higher than x40 i cant see that it actaully goes higher in CPU-Z.
Example:
i go for x42 multiplier then CPU-Z says its x40 (16-42) so it seems as it knows i want x42 but it does not go any further than x40. Please help.
