I have a Intel core i7-4790 CPU@3.60Ghz 3.60Ghz 16GB 64 -bit with a GEFORCE GTX 745 graphic card.I use this only for gaming what would be the best graphics card to upgrade to I would like to spend less than $300. Thank you for the help~Germangirl

Get a GTX 1060 6gb or a RX 480 8gb. Don't ask me to pick one as I'll start another Nvidia vs AMD war.. they are pretty similar and vary from game to game. The RX 480 has the edge in DX12 though.

Assuming you are in the USA:
Zotac GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Mini Video Card
its $239.99 at SuperBiiz, $249.99 at Amazon, and $254.99 at Newegg

as mentioned above, the GTX 1060 6GB and the RX 480 8 GB basically trade blows. However, since you already have an NVidia card, I'd stick with the same brand just to avoid driver complications
