Computer started experiencing random freezing approx 2 weeks ago, then suddenly after a crash this morning the computer simply wont start. Screen shows no signal and bios wont boot, and while attempting to boot the fans make a revving noise as if trying to start but unable too? Personally i feel may be power supply issue or even gpu, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Solution
First try to borrow. If there is no virus, there is surrely a hardwear malfunction.
First before you go and borrow from a friend, pull off your GPU and connect to your motherboard your monitor and start the pc, and see whats happening. I surelly beliefe it is the PSU.

Start with the power suply. I recomend to make a CMOS reset after you replace the PSU. If the problem is stil there. Put out of the motherboard your GPU and try starting it over inner motherboard graphics.

Before we make OP go out and buy a new power supply, we need to know a few things.

@benj827, please list full system specs. Be specific, include power supply make and model. What were you usually trying to do when the system crashed? (gaming, writing documents, browsing the web, etc)

@weberdarren97
So my PC is my first build, has been working perfectly since i built around 8 months ago.
Build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/benj827/saved/#view=PNKv6h
In terms of the freezing, they were completely random - sometimes right after startup and sometimes hours, i did virus scans, everything showed up clear.

@bumeran9 ehh finding a power supply may be difficult - could borrow off a friend if really needed.

Thanks, i'll do that then give you an update

I apologize for the delay. Your current power supply is terrible. If it's not the source of the problem, it's a big part of it. The VS series is easily the worst power supplies that Corsair has ever made.
