2 ethernet wall adapters one router?

Solution
That piece of information is included, albeit not explicitly stated, in the above and in this quote, "If the PCs are in different rooms, use separate powerline adapters."

Explicitly stated, you can use multiple powerline adapters in the same home.

The total throughput is limited by the technology of the set and shared among all adapters in use. In practice, the results are unpredictable but recent technologies should be acceptable for most uses. While I no longer use powerline on my networks, the common recommendation around here is AV2-1200 as a minimum. Always buy from a seller with a customer friendly return policy incase the set doesn't work for you. I live in a major city with several large stores nearby. My personal...

lmao

the title says nothing

i could have 6 ethernet wall adapters connected to nothinbg and 6 routers and that won't matter!

one router connecter to one wall adapter, connected to something(this is important) like a modem

the other, well, what do you want to use it, to connect something else via that router? wait, i shouldn't ask because the title says t all!

lol sorry bout the confusion just wanted to know if wall adapters, like herc said for in-house networking. Somebody told me that I could only use one pair per router. Just wanted to know if that was true.

What do you mean by "ethernet wall adapter?" Perhaps a wall jack?

What type of equipment, if any, are each of the jacks in the wall wired to on the other end? Although there may be two ethernet jacks in the wall, ethernet does not work in "pairs." Are you sure one is not a telephone jack?

What do you want to accomplish with the router? Getting wifi for a dorm room or similar?

Edited for typo

I mean the wall adapters where you plug them in to a power outlet, and insert an Ethernet cable.

It is from TP-LINK and model number is TL-PA4010. Only has one jack. Just need to know if I can hook up two per PC and use only one for my router.
EDIT: Lol messed up I mean can I have two actively in use on separate PCs connected to one that is connected to the router, if that makes sense.

For what purpose?

Best guess answer is, no you cannot. Basic ethernet networks don't like having multiple paths.

Secondly, adding more adapters doesn't necessarily speed up powerline because it all shares the same wires. 500 Mbps adapters are old technology. Unfortunately if you need a better connection, you need to either find better plugs near your router or computer, or buy newer adapters.

Ok.

If you have two PCs in the same room, use an inexpensive ethernet switch.

If the PCs are in different rooms, use separate powerline adapters.

Can both run at the same time? And even if they can how will bandwidth be affected?

Thanks, but you haven't answered whether or not multiple PCs can access the internet with powerline adapters at the same time.

My personal preference is to buy from a local store so I can just drive over for a return. YMMV
