No, probably not.
3GB will be consumed by almost any AAA game with decent settings.
the 6GB version is faster and that would do it, you'll have to turn a couple settings down/off, but only the overly demanding ones - you'll still be able to use ultra shaders and textures, just not massive amounts of AA.
