So about a week or two ago, I finished my PC build. It didn't take long after I installed windows 10 and did all the basic stuff (downloading apps, games, etc) for it to freeze. When I first started playing, It worked fine for about two hours, then it froze. I was playing Battlefield 4 with audio coming through my speakers, when it froze I had a loop of basically the past millisecond of audio. I heard that for maybe 20 seconds and then it went silent. It does it every time it freezes, unless of course there is no audio with what I'm doing. There was a problem with my motherboard, the top PCI-E2 slot doesn't work. I have my GPU on the bottommost slot. I have to replace the motherboard but I haven't had the money, I feel like it could be the cause of all the freezing, but Ive seen posts where even replacing the motherboard didn't fix the issue. Ill Post my System Specs.

CPU: Intel i5 6600k Skylake
GPU: MSI GTX 1070
PSU: EVGA 650 GQ
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3200 8x2
Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M3
Fan/Cooler: Cryorig H7 CPU Cooler
SSD: SanDisk 480 GB SSD
Case: NZXT S340 Mid Tower Case
Network Adaptor: A random wireless network adaptor that I took from an old rig.

I'm new at this whole "PC Building" stuff, so I'm not a pro, but Ive been watching my CPU temps on my second monitor and haven't seen any consistent freezing at a certain temp. The PC can also be idle when it freezes. Ive also tried moving the RAM to the 2 and 4 slots, with no success. I have noticed that I don't freeze on online games, like with other players, but then again, I don't spend very much significant time playing online besides Rocket League and MW2, but I have never had a freeze online before. Ill do some testing to see if I can get it to freeze. There is also no BSOD when I restart or when it freezes, it just boots up like nothing ever happened. Haven't tried running it in safe mode yet, will try soon. I'm also looking into getting a second SSD since editing requires a lot of PC storage. I have also attached a photo of the PC so you can get a better understanding of where everything is located.

Any help or advice would be so greatly appreciated!

I just updated the BIOS yesterday, It seemed to help a little bit as the freezes aren't as consistent but they still happen. I don't know how to run memtest or any of that stuff, as I said, I'm new to this, that's why I'm having issues. I updated all the drivers and everything. Even in my GPU.

I ran memtest. I ran it for 20 passes, no errors were picked up. I just bought a new motherboard, so when it comes I'll let you know what the outcome is. If replacing the motherboard, the only part that I KNOW is broken doesn't fix it, I honestly have no idea what I'm gonna do. I'd like to sway away from replacing everything (PSU, RAM, GPU). Considering I had to send my GPU back since it was DOA, I really hope that this one isn't messed up too.

So my motherboard came. I put it in, pc started for a good 15 minutes, then the motherboard died. So now I'm back to my old gaming m3 board. I'm gonna stop buying MSI products. They seem relatively defective.

I was already panning on doing that. I sent the board back yesterday, awaiting a refund and then I'm gonna buy an ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO ALPHA. It doesn't really match my color scheme of the pc, but as of right now, I would like performance over looks. Getting really sick of this.
