Before you ask. Yes ive looked all around the interwebs to find help. Yes I've tried dual channel and non dual channel mode.

I have the following specs with a CPU upgrade coming in the mail

MOBO: Foxconn A78AX 3.0
Ram: PNY 1600MHz (2x8GB) [Currently Running 1] {dual channel}
PSU: Corsair (i think) 600w
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 630 (oc'ed to 3.4) [NO L3 Cache] {my new cpu will have L3}
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 390 (4GB VRAM)

it would instantly BSOD around the boot logo. I was assuming since the cpu doesnt have L3 Cache i would assume its not working because of that.

Any help would be great regardless if i can or cant use this other 8GB chip. I will put it in my new rig im building in my spare time.

EDIT: Windows 8.1 Pro

This isnt a DDR4 board? Neither is my other. I have an 8GB installed right now? So why cant i use the other?

I checked everything correctly
from this source to see if my ram is compatable
PC-Specs: http://

Like I said you cant use 8 GB sticks (in one slot) on this mobo. Why because the Foxconn site says so

Since it supports 16 GB max. So 4x4GB in each slot.

I know this isnt a DDR4 mobo. I was talking about the new pc you're building if it is a DDR 4 mobo. If you were planning on using this DDR3 ram on it, you can't

2x8 GB in 2 slots is 16 GB in 2 slots. That doesnt = 4 x 4 GB in each slot, which is 16 GB max

The CPU has nothing to do with the ram. The Foxconn site says it supports 16 GB max.

So that = 4x4GB DDR 3 sticks in each slot. Not 2 x8 GB in each slot

If its working at full chat then its working just fine
