New monitor or new gpu first?

So i'm being faced with a very tough decision, either buy a new monitor or a new gpu first. My current monitor is an absolutely atrocious 32 inch 1360x768 tv, which i plan to upgrade to a monitor in the 150-200CAD price range. Or i could upgrade my intel hd 530 to a 1060 3 or 6gb. The main purpose of my rig is gaming.Either way both will get upgraded just it will be one upgrade and then another upgrade a few months later, so i'm just looking for opinions/experience about what to upgrade first. Thanks :)

I'd go with new GPU and enjoy gaming the current games on the high/ultra settings with 60+ FPS for the few months until monitor upgrade.
Going with monitor first means that you're stuck on light gaming for the duration of time until you'll get the dedicated GPU.
