i was thinking of staying with air and going with the noctua d14 but then i started to think about water i get 4.6 stable with my 212 evo would it be worth it to buy a new cooler water or air so i could make it to 4.8-4.9? or is the 6700k possible of acheving these clocks? im looking to get some new parts for my pc may it be a new cooler or more ram well maybe not more ram 16gb ddr4 is plenty enough for me

Solution
I tend to like M.2 drives if for no better reason than they clean up wiring and clutter in a case quite a bit. The added performance (even if it's not likely to be noticed) is just icing on the cake.

i would like to get the h100i or the h115i but i would need new case. but instead of getting a new cooler cause 4.6 is still pretty good for me. im thinking of getting an m.2 ssd i would like 512gb for under 150 but cant find one would have to settle for 256gb plus i have a 2.5" 256gb ssd yeah im leaning towards m.2 ssd and new headset.

Most people think water coolers are pointless on Skylake, you probably don't 'need' to overclock a i7-6700k so an air cooler will do the job just fine. I've got an h80i paired with mine and all cores sit at 22°c so i never have to worry about it overheating.
