I went to bed last week as normal and shut my computer down. Nothing was different about the computer until I got back from school and it wouldn't boot. I would press the power button and nothing would happen, no sounds or anything. After hours of messing with the computer and disconnecting and reconnecting cables it still wouldn't work. I decided to buy a new power supply and install it. I plugged all the needed cables in, the 24 pin to the motherboard, the 4 pin to the motherboard and the pins to my optical drives. I pressed the power button and still nothing happened. I honestly don't have a clue what do to and am frustrated to the point of tears.

Are you sure the power button on the case works? Did you disconnect and reconnect the cables that connect the case and motherboard also?
You should have a look at the motherboard. Maybe there are some blown capacitors on it.

The power button was working the night before perfectly fine, and I don't really know how to check if that's the thing that isn't working. Although I did disconnect and reconnect it, but nothing still.

-do your motherboard have a power led to check if its reciving power from the PSU ?
-Sometimes it just happends... The Power conectors that connects the Power buttom from your case with your motherboard unplugs... check if its plugged in correctly in its correct pin.
also... i know it sounds kinda odd... But... Have you just... unplugged the power cable where you connecting to and try conecting something else ?
