Hello everyone, I just want to ask if I have a bad videocard. Here is my specs:
MSI H170 gaming m3
PALIT Super Jetstream gtx 1060
8gb gskill ripjaws V
Seasonic 520watt PSU
Core i5 6500
250gb Samsung 850 Evo
Here is problem:
I dont but it takes a while when this problem appears. when i installed a new game .. all my games will crash when that game starting to crash but when clean install the drivers using DDU the problem dissappears. and it takes a while when all of my games crash again and get bluescreen. This problem appears using who crashed: Nvlddmkm.sys

Solution
if you right click on my computer and there you have computermanagement then select "device manager". There you can select any device... double click to open properties (or right click and click properties)
in the properties you have different tabs... go to the tab that says: "details"
there you have a pull-down menu "PROPERTIES": you search for the word "Hardware-ID's"
and in the bigger screen 'VALUE" (under the pull-down menu you have the information of the hardware ID's

that's it.
goodluck and let us know if you need more information !
Louise.

Hi there,
have you checked the VEN and DEV of the device ?
ok, start and uninstalled the old drivers - reboot and reinstall new drivers found through ven /dev details ?

if you need more information on how let me know.
Cheers, Louise.

Yup Nvlddmkm.sys is an Nvidia related video card driver file.

Did it all start to happen when you first fitted the GTX 1060 card ?
If so it may be related to the power supply unit of your system that is currently fitted to it Knive_lek.

Either a lack of wattage or amp rating from the 12v power rails of the PSU.

If it most commonly happens when playing a game on the system the video driver crashes.
But the system works fine when doing simple things like web browsing or watching a video ect and it does not crash with a BSOD.

can be the cause as to why your getting BSOD errors and the Nvida video driver crashing knive_lek.

Suggestion is that you try the system with a new power supply or one that you can borrow from a good friend with a higher wattage output of 520W peak output. The notable point being the card when running a game will, and does require more power the more the gpu of the card works harder.

Make sense ?

BSOD doesnt occur when doing simple task like browsing and also playing games . BSOD doesnt appear for about 1-2 weeks of use after fresh install of the Video drivers.. it happens to like 3 times now .I'll built this PC last november 1st week and have no problems at all.. Every game has no problem for me ..and it happens to me like every 2 weeks i think ... i've been doing fresh install of drivers every 2 weeks since this problem appear only after installing new game ...and i dont know what causes that..
