Can I use a psu that doesn't support my cpu I haverified a 1000w psu and it saus it supports dual and quad core cpu can I put a 8 core or will it not work? Please help

It doesn't necessarily work like that.

It will support that CPU as long as it can supply the correct amount of wattage, and with a 1000W PSU, you should be able to. That PSU is really overkill to be fair, and might not be the best of PSUs to use but it can run it.
