Hi all,
Bit of a strange issue. I recently replaced my graphics card. I used to have a GTX 770 and replaced it with a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce OC. All graphics drivers were uninstalled and then updated to the latest versions, and it works as per normal. But I have noticed something unexpected. From a cold boot, the monitor says "no signal" and goes into standby until the windows log-on screen appears. From then on all is ok. But before the card was replaced, the monitor used to stay active and display the Hewlett Packard (HP) blue splash logo, with the white dots going round in a circle, before going on to the windows screen. If the PC is merely restarted, then the logo does appear prior to the log-on screen. No changes have been made in BIOS. I can still access BIOS normally from a cold or warm boot. Anybody know why this is the case with the splash screen not appearing?
The monitor is an AOC i2369Vm. The PC is a HP Envy Phoenix 810-470na. Details: i7 4790, 128Gb SSD for the operating system, 16GB RAM, 2Tb hard drive. It came with Windows 8.1, but I upgraded to Windows 10 in May of this year, which went smooth as silk with no issues. Also, it came with the GeForce GTX 770 actually pre-installed, with drivers updated regularly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Solution
Hi all. Just in case anyone has had this issue, I found the solution. As follows:

"Try enter BIOS then in Security disable Secure Boot and enable Legacy Boot.

Save changes and exit. Enter four digit confirmation at reboot to confirm the change.

HP has custom keys installed in Secure boot for the GTX 770.

Legacy mode will allow the new graphics to run".

This sorted it. Thanks to all who tried to help.

as the unit (GPU) came with the PC from HP I would say that hp modified the BIOS (on the GPU) for branding.
now that you have a third party card the logo will not be there.
you may also look in the motherboards BIOS and see if full screen logo has been disabled if that is an option you can change.

Thanks for the reply. I cannot see any BIOS option for for the full screen logo enable/disable. You could very well be right with the reasoning behind the logo not appearing regarding the GPU BIOS. But why would the logo appear when the PC is merely restarted?

Yes. It works well. Just curious about the minor issue and what may be causing it.

Your motherboard has an on-board VGA adapter and it's probably that that's active before you get into windows for some reason. Plug a monitor in and check.

Check to ensure your primary video device is set to PCIe in BIOS, maybe it got changed or HP customized the UEFI boot for that card or brand or something.

I highly doubt HP has removed the ability to see your boot sequence on third party cards which would still show the hp blue logo.
