Hi guys! So my pc is the Lenovo erazer x510
GTX 760 2GB
I5 4670K (3.4-4.3 GHZ)
SOME MOTHERBOARD
PSU: 625W
8GB DDR3 RAM

My gtx 760 goes abvoe 100c when playing games. For example when i play overwatch 1080p low settings my gpu goes to 99% with 30-20 fps (i never had this problem before) and when it idles it is at 40-50 C. I clean my pc almost every month and my cpu never goes aboce 60C when playing games. So i am going to buy the ASUS GeForce GTX1060 Dual OC 3GB and i was wondering if it would fit in my case (i have two 6-pin connectors and it requires one) and if my cpu would bottleneck.

Thanks in advance for the help :)

Solution
The Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC will be the best choice. The adapter will work fine and there will be no issues in performance (there might even be one included with the card). The Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC is 240mm long aswell.
The custom cooler won't have any negative effect on your case, but a positive one on gpu temps.

It looks like your graphics card has its own small compartment at the bottom of the case, with its own small fan in the front, which should be fine as long as the fan spins.
The ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 DUAL OC has got a total lenght of 242 mm, which means, it has got nearly the same lenght as a reference GTX760 (245 mm).

No it wont botlleneck, at least not in any way worth mentioning. I dont know why your 760 is overheating, the heatsink is probably caked with dust I doubt poor case airflow would cause temps like that unless there is no airflow at all. I'm not sure about the airflow in some pre built lenovo case, what does it have for fans?

Yes the 1060 should fit in your case, I doubt its any bigger than tyour 760 depending on which 760 you have.

So it will work right in my case? Btw i have a freesync monitor but my psu has two six pin connectors and the gtx 1060 only requires one whilst the rx 480 requires an 8 pin connector which one should i choose and which one would be the best for my gaming experience, case and no bottlencking. I should stick to the custom coolers for the gpu right not the refernce one. Would the custom cooler affect anything in my case or will evrything be alright?

You should be fine with the GTX1060, if youre using a freesync monitor you can grab a RX480. There isn't that big of a difference in performance and you can grab a 2x6Pin to 8Pin adapter.

You can activate freesync via monitor osd and amd drivers, it should be usable via DP and HDMI (with some newer monitors: https://www.amd.com/Documents/freesync-hdmi.pdf).
The Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ OC shouldn't go much above 80°C while gaming.

The rx 480 4gb version is not going to bottleneck my i5 4670k right?

Yes but you wont be able to use freesync. Stuttering will depend on the game, whether your using vsync, and many other factors.

A 4670K wouldn't bottleneck a 1080 in any significant way in the majority of titles. So no it wont bottlneck a 480 or 1060.

Okey then i have to buy a 2x 6 pin connectors to 8 pin connector adapter for it to work.. or is there an 480 with one 6 pin connector. This might be asilly question but if i have two 6 pin connectors i could buy a graphics card that only requires one right ;) ?

Yeah 2x 6 pins is the same as 1x8pin.So get an adapter, unless the model you buy you know comes with one.

Dont get a single 6 pin version.

No GPU should reach 100C under anything other than the worst circumstances, a.k.a. poor airflow (your case is known for it) and dust accumulation (your case is known for this too). Your graphics card has been tortured enough that the thermal compound between the actual GPU and its heatsink has probably become crusty and solid, and now acts as an insulator instead of an agent of heat transfer, making this even worse. You can either soak it in 99% isopropyl and scrub it clean, hang dry, and apply new thermal compound, or retire the old graphics card and get a new one.

The main issue you have is that this Lenovo thing has really bad airflow, as noted by every internet review I found on the first page of my Google search. Buy whatever you feel you need to get the job done, but know that there are inherent flaws in your case that are causing all of these problems that can't be fixed without either 1.) buying a new case, or 2.) cutting stuff up with a bunch of power tools and lots of patience.

You have a freesync monitor. Get an AMD graphics card. You'd be wasting the "freesync" part of your freesync monitor otherwise. Steer clear of the Powercolor Red Devil and Gigabyte RX480's. The Sapphire Nitro+ should be good.

I am going to either get a refund from this pc or i will give it to lenovo and they will give me a new 760, or i could buy the 480 but would that worsen my other temps because of the custom cooler? Hmm dont know about the case it has two air fans and that should not be a problem, i have cleaned my pc and there was a bit dust but not that much (alot of sticky dust) i live near an freeway could that be the reason for my dust? I will try to play a game now with case open and cleaned pc ( i did not take out the grpahics card cuz 2 scared :/) it is very strange because my cpu never never goes above 60 and it had alot of dust in it. Fkin lenovo man, im saving my money atm to get a new pc in a couple of years but i need a pc for those couple of years of waiting...
